I'm gonna take a small break from fashion (barely) and talk a touch about politics. If this bothers you or you are Anti-Gay Rights, please do not read this post.
As you all know, Prop 8 was passed on Tuesday and I have to say that I feel horribly guilty. Although I voted against it and had several heated "discussions" with friends and family alike trying to persuade them that it is indeed a civil rights issue, and not an intended offence to any one's God, I feel like I didn't do enough to defeat this retched thing. I focused far too much on our President-Elect and not enough on my friends.
So I am taking this time to sincerely apologize to those who this abhorrent bill has wounded so deeply. I can't even begin to imagine how badly you are hurting and promise you that I will do everything I can to help overturn it. I fiercely believe that it will and I am certainly going to be a part of it. I only wish that it had never been even attempted so that you, my friends, could have never felt this hurt.
Please tell me if there is anything I can do. I want to know about any rallies or protests in the San Fransisco area and I will do my best to get there.
